My gasser's stance(check this out DJ)
Even since I have decided to go with the "gasser look" I have been trying to explain the "look/stance" I have in my "minds eye" to everyone here on this forum.
At best, I would call it a modified" gasser stance" somewhat combined with today's lowered look. Lowered in the rear but still having the "higher" frontend look of drag racing days gone by (long gone...ha) As I was looking for some info I ended up on DJ's build page ..... (can you believe his build thread has had almost 49,000 views so far) ..... and I saw a picture of his kick-a** truck when he first bought it (less engine & trans) and BINGO.... there it was.... the "look" I am "looking" for. Low in the back and higher in the front. So as you all can see I'm NOT looking to copy one of those "high in the sky" gassers of the 60's (see picture below) .... but to build something "different" that resembles the gas class cars & trucks of days gone by.

Those are really unique! the harder you hit them the harder they push the tire to the track. Instead of unloading the chassis like allot of wheelie bars.

It's hard to explain the "look" we are building and now finally I got something to show others the "look" we are building. When I got first got our C10 project from my brother-in-law & his son last year I remember the 1st time I took a look at your "thread" about your truck. The pictures of it on the first page blew me away. Read the whole thing at one sitting and have been following it ever since..... I mean.... 48,000+ views must be some kind of INTERNET thread record..... for sure an amount that will be hard to match on this forum. DJ.... What is the "history" of your truck??? I haven't been a member of this forum long enough to know anymore than that you bought it in it's "blue stepside" form from someone, from somewhere, less engine & tranny .....????

Re: My gasser's stance(check this out DJ)
The truck used to belong to Tom Durham from just north of Atlanta. I was gonna try to build a similar truck them Tom made me a deal I couldn't pass up. The truck used to be much faster when Tom ran it but it had a bigger motor and 2 stages of nitrous! The truck has gone 5.32 in the eighth!
