I might have sold my 78 Buckskin truck .
I had someone call me about a different truck . He asked if I had any others and I told him about the Buckskin truck . He asked and I put a price on it . I think he is flying in on Sat . I really wanted enter it in a local show the first week of September but that may not happen . What do you think the truck is worth ? Here are some detailed pics . It is a zero rust truck . Nonair . I will let you know hw the deal goes but wanted some input just for fun .

It IS a nice truck man and I wish you the best with the possible sale. Does the fact that it is a Big10 show up on the option label?

Re: I might have sold my 78 Buckskin truck .
What's it worth, or what will it bring on the market? Even though it's not a factory air truck, and it doesn't have one of the most common colors it still should sell in the 8500+ range. If it sells for more, you done good. If it sells for less, you should have told me you would sell it so cheap...

Re: I might have sold my 78 Buckskin truck .
The guy is from the northeast so he is looking for a rustfree truck and the nonair part is a plus to him . I sent him pics tonight so he would know exactly what he is looking at . I would not want him to come this far without good info . He said he flew out to get the tan/white 77 that was on ebay but didnt buy it . He also stated that he is a bigblock man so I am sure it will get some good attention . The only problem is that I just put the wheels on and started driving it again . Frank

I don't think it is worth more than scrap. I am hauling a load off this weekend I could come pick it up for gas money I say 6000-8000 on the low side from the pics, but I know you keep clean trucks....

Re: I might have sold my 78 Buckskin truck .
Hey Frank ,
Trucks rust out real quick on the far east coast . I would buy a truck like yours ...as it sits .. For $10,000 easy . when I was in the market for one . I would never be able to find a truck in that condition here for $6000-$8000 range . But there are less here than in the USA . I just bought a 88 K5 thats got a bit of rust on it for $4000 . I just wish all these nice truck were closer . Acording to what the 77 on Ebay was going for ..I would not sell your truck for less than $9000 . Good Luck Pete

Re: I might have sold my 78 Buckskin truck .
I will know tomorrow if it is gone or not . The guy is flying into Houston in the morning . I repacked the wheel bearings again , changed the oil, had the front end aligned , checked the rear axle lube level , and washed her. She should be ready for the trip if needed . I took more pics tonight and will probably get a couple of it leaving if it comes to it . I will miss this truck . I have another one spotted though .

Re: I might have sold my 78 Buckskin truck .
Well this isnt me behind the wheel in this photo . The truck is headed to West Virginia . Cool guy that bought it and he has some neat vehicles and projects . A 56 one ton , a 68 short wide , I think a mid 60's chevelle , and now a solid Buckskin Cheyenne . He said it would be housing a big block in the future . Still hard to sell even though I got good money and it will be taken care of .

Frank,
If you don't mind, how much did you get for it? If you don't want to tell I understand. The more I looked at it the more I liked it.

You got good money for it so don't feel bad. He got a really nice truck, and you got a really good price. Both of y'all should be very happy....
"should" be any way....

Re: I might have sold my 78 Buckskin truck .
Frank you sound like a real truck guy. $9500 is a good price for your truck. In this day and age of people just trying to make a quick buck,... it's nice to see a buyer who appreciates the "real deal" enough to pay the price. Your "road prep" says alot about you. Maybe you'll have a truck that I can own someday. NOW,... what are you buying next?
