My 77 shortbox
There I was, sitting in my shop, sipping on my 5th highball, i figured i'd snap a shot of the scenery with my phone. Took the pic just before i pulled in my '68 nova for an oil change. Yet, seeing i've been following this forum for a few months now, i figured i'd share the picture of my '77. Let me know what you think, or feel free to tell me to get off my duff and get more pictures!

Re: My 77 shortbox
It's about time you posted a pic.
Looks like a nice pair of vehicles. Definately get yourself a better camera than that cell phone, and post up some more pics along with descriptions.

Re: My 77 shortbox
Get off your duff and get more pics. Definitely a nice pair of rides! My Mom had a 69 Nova when I was growing up. Black on black with a factory 396. Of course it was immaculate, since it was in the early to mid 70's. It's one of the cars my Dad says he should have kept.

Re: My 77 shortbox
Well, I went out and took a few pics. When i bought the truck it had a 3 speed manual transmission with manual steering and a pretty sad 350. The guy i bought it off of said he drove it daily, which i found a little hard to believe, but i guess it would explain why he was selling. Anyways, I ended up building up an old 350 i had lying around and pieced together an automatic for it. Needless to say i opted for power steering as well. It's lowered in the front 5" with springs and spindles, and i flipped the axle in the rear.

Re: My 77 shortbox
One of the main reasons i bought this truck is that it's practically rust free

Re: My 77 shortbox
Nice! That is indeed rust free. Mechanical issues are a lot easier to fix than body issues are.
Man, I love those slot wheels on our trucks. I think it started with seeing the following magazine articles on Jeff's 73-87.com site: http://www.73-87.com/7387info/misc/hot_haulers01.jpg http://www.73-87.com/7387info/misc/hot_haulers02.jpg http://www.73-87.com/7387info/misc/hot_haulers03.jpg

Re: My 77 shortbox
Love those slot mags. What size tires are you running? Are they 8's in the front and 10's out back? I have a '75 shorty with the same wheels, but have BFG AT's an it looks like a pre-runner wannbe. Love your truck. AND that NOVA kicks ass too.
