New shaft radio from Crutchfield

Just noticed this new product in my latest Crutchfield catalog. Don't know anything about Retrosound, but Crutchfield usually sells decent quality products.

They list Chevy truck fitments back to 1969, but the radio may fit earlier models.

There are a few different face plates to choose from.

1969 C10 (not the current one) that I bought in the early 1980s. Paid $1200; sold for $1500 a few years later. Just a hint at the appreciation that was coming.

Re: New shaft radio from Crutchfield

When this radio came out in their catalog a few months ago, I studied it carefully. Seeing that they didn't have a listing for our trucks, I sent them (Crutchfield) an email, asking about such an application. They said, at that time, there was nothing available for our applications.

However, I also visited the website of the manufacturer and they had one listed. So, it seems, that Crutchfield didn't have the listing.

It doesn't do everything the way I want it done, but for those who don't want to cut their dashes, it's an option.

If you need technical support, Crutchfield is great. I wonder how many of their techs have experience on our trucks, not that there are any real headaches in swapping radios, right?
