Newest find 82 3/4 ton 2wd
I have the fever. Last week traded for a 71 GMC 1/2 ton. This week I
picked up this 82 for my son. $250.00 runs great! What do you think? I will keep you updated on the progress. |

Re: Newest find 82 3/4 ton 2wd
Wow what a deal! I have a chance at a 1/2 ton 2WD for $250, but it needs the rear main seal replaced and some serious body work.

Re: Newest find 82 3/4 ton 2wd
It seems to be in great shape, a little rust in normal places. If you notice the running boards, we have removed them and they are sold for $50.00. It had an add on fuel tank on the right inside of frame which we removed and sold for $ 40.00. We are trying to buff the paint out for now untill we can start on the restoration. I will add updated pictures as we are trying to get it ready for Wednesday Aug 13th the first day of school so he wont have to ride the bus 8 miles to and from each day.

Re: Newest find 82 3/4 ton 2wd
Making progress...removed running boards, removed after market tank, installed new plugs and wires. Buffed out the paint by hand with rubbing compound. When we started to work on the interior we made a great discovery under the seat....a Pioneer amp and 2 pioneer 6x9 speakers. We knew it had a pioneer stereo in it but it didnt work. Well reason being is the speakers were not hooked up!
A long way to go but it is starting to take shape, what do you think? |

Re: Newest find 82 3/4 ton 2wd
looks great and with the availability of aftermarket parts for sale it wont take much to repair that rust and have it look brand new....
what does the interior look like?
