5 Speed for 55-59?

Has anyone installed a 5-Speed in their TF trucks? Where is the shifter location on floor? Which tranny is a good swap?

Thanks

The Tremec TKO 600 is bullit proof and there are different locations for the shift handel. I can not say enough good things about the decision to use this gear box.

Re: 5 Speed for 55-59?

I've put Borg-Warner T-5's from mid 80's S-10 pickups in 2 of them. They are not near as stout as the premium trans. like Rc. is refering to, but are inexpensive & will work good if a guy doesn't speed shift or do burn outs. The shifter comes out in the center of the floor a little ways back from where a 4 speed does.
