Holley #4175
I can buy a new Holley 650 cfm #4175 carb for $100. I would be using it on a stock 350. SHould I buy it? Or is that a bad idea?

Neon-
If the Holley is NEW, I would definately snack it up. Even if you don't have a need for it at present. A stock 350 doesn't need that much CFM, but you could certainly use the carb if you want to. I made the mistake of being persuaded into a 750 for my small block. I know it's overkill, but it does work. If you get the Holley and wish to use it, you can always re-jet to get where you want with it. Bottom line is if you have an extra hundred, I would think it would be a decent deal. ------------------

Well, I bought the carb. It was on e bay, and I ended up paying 167.50. I am happy w/that because from summit they are $299.00. I plan to get a few more thing to go with it too. Edelbrock performer intake manifold, HEI distributor with a PAW rebuild kit, Accel super stock wires and splitfire plugs, and I will also put on a set of M/T valve covers. I will see if I can post a pic when I am done. I also want to get a set of hooker headers when I have some more money. Anyone have some they would sell cheap?
