Is it worth it?

There is a 1962 C10 on CL for 3800 or trade for a Miata. Guess what, I have a Miata that is for sale. I haven't seen the truck in person. It looks good in pix. Just want some feedback from ya'll. It will probably be a cobled up mess.

Thanks

I like it. I'd say the price is good, if there are no problems he's not telling about.

Nice little truck, Dude. Go for it. It doesn’t look like it’s been hacked up at all and appears quite solid. Make it happen!

It looks like more than $3800 worth of truck to me...If you feel that your Miata is worth less, Do It!!

If they're willing to trade a girl car for a Chevy pickup, go for it.

Re: Is it worth it?

I would check her out first, but doest look to bad from the few pictures they posted. Looks like they started to fix her up by adding and restoring a few things.
http://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/bu...uide_60_66.htm
But, you never know....She might be worth the money. Fix -r- up and make her look like this.......

In this ad....I don't think this ole' feller is going to get $32,995 for that 62. Must be watching The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction while smoking high dollar crack pipe when he posted that one. Ha ha....

Re: Is it worth it?

The guy finally called me today. I couldn't hook up with him today. We are planning on Wednesday. He has had it for 3 years and has to find something his daughter can drive. He said everything works. i will check the normal rust areas. Lord knows, I know where the common areas are.

I will keep ya'll updated.

Re: Is it worth it?

Ok here's the scoop. It is a very sound mechanicaly. It runs and drives good. He has done alot of mechanical work, but no body work. I know how much work is involved in repairing the rust. So if I do get it it will be a daily driver like it is. The only other thing that I didn't like is the motor perches. I'm not familiar with the old way they use to mount on the front. It looks like it use to be a 6. The perches in there now are like my 65, but they have been bumble gum welded at the bottom. It wouldn't be a whole lot of work to fix. Like I said it is the only other issue that I noticed. I told the guy I will sleep on it. At first he said even trade before I got there, but he understands that he will have to throw in some cash. Howmuch I'm not sure of yet. He's asking 3800. He bought it for 2000 and put 2000 in it. Plus it comes with asome other parts.

Here are the pix. Let me know what you think.
