Chrome Door Panels?
Does anyone have chrome door panels installed?
How are they as far as reflection inside of there? Anyone have any pictures? I thought that chrome door panels with chrome dash and glove box cover might look good, but I was worried that it might be too much too...I'd like to see someone elses before I wasted my cash. |

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
Can you imagine the sunburn you'd get driving that thing with the top off? Forget driving it in bright daylight without sunglasses.
To each his own, but that is too much chrome/shiny stuff.

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
Well, thanks, but that is a little more than I was thinking. I'm just an old country boy not a pimp or anything... lol. That roof is what I can't get over! And is that a gas lid sticking out of the bed cover??
Anyway, does anybody have a more "down to earth" truck with a set of the chrome panels? |

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
Don't get me wrong...I love the look of chrome, but that's just way too much!! I have a chrome glovebox door, ash tray, & trim on my bezel & B&M shifter in my interior & that is good enough for me. The door panels I do not care for. Plus they would probably get scratched too easily.

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
Once again Ill be the odd man out... I kinda like it. I will admit it is a bit much. The LMC door panels glove box door and ash tray along with the dash panel without the wood grain or black on the dash would be nice.
A friend of mine in highschool had a 77 dodge that his dad built in the 70's. It didnt have a bunch of chrome inside but his dad had cut the inside roof from another pickup had it chromed and used it as a headliner in the 77. It was pretty neat Id like to see it again to see how it was done.

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
The only reason to have a chrome dash is....
Guy driving with hot 'skirt' in the seat. (reflections are my friend)

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
I have chrome door panels now with the chrome on the dash panel, glove box & ash tray. With the exception of the finger prints on the door panels it isn't bad. And yes the entire dash the only advantage I could think of would be to sneak peeks at your companion's attire. Which with the glove box door it is possible there also.

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
That is one sweet truck . Love the cb antenna, and filler neck out of the bed cover, the cup holder makes it worth at least another 10 grand. With that much chrome you might need some sunblock. I do like sammys glove box, it breaks up the solid chrome

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
Figured someone would ask about tunes, so had to show my custom glove box. The radio delete plate houses the newer temp gage & clock. I don't trust a sweep gage perfer the actual #'s, my personal preference.

Re: Chrome Door Panels?
Thanks Hair on the compliment. If I just knew how to paint I would be totally satisfied with this truck. May try again next year.
