73 Cheyenne on Ebay

I thought I would post this so you guys can see some better pics of my truck . I listed the 73 on ebay last night . I am sure it wont sell , but it didnt cost much to give it a try . I have gotten several questions already . Some normal and some odd . I actually drove it yesterday for the first time in a while . It rides like a Caddy . Anyway here is the link . I am not trying to sell it here and the reason I posted it here is because this is where I hang out . It cleans up well .

Re: 73 Cheyenne on Ebay

O.k ... .I get it

nice truck but not blue enough ....right

maybe some truck museum will pick it up - pun intended

Great looking ride Frank but don't think I could put it on Ebay . I'd be asking for
references and a blood sample on this one

Re: 73 Cheyenne on Ebay

I am sure I wont because the reserve is way up there . I actually set it higher than what it takes to buy it . I prefer a cash deal in person but if it gets close , who knows .

Not if it gets to the reserve .

Did the guy ever get the Yellow/white GMC I sold you running as his shop truck ? If so , how about a pic .

Re: 73 Cheyenne on Ebay

This is a recent purchase . I listed it with a nice reserve . If it sells , I will put some money in the 77 shortbed I bought right after this one . I thought I was done after the black one , but I am a little compulsive . I dont think this will get to the reserve , but the wife sees me trying to sell and it makes her feel good . If it sells , I am sure it would go to a good home because of the price . I dont know what a truck like this is worth . Probably more in my eyes than most but I think the squares from 73-80 are coming into their own and this one is nice . I love having a few of these to drive , but I want one I can tinker with without hurting the originality . I am putting together a smallblock with a little cam for the 77 . I want to hear a little rumble . I do not want to touch the drivetrain in this one or the black one because of the original mileage . The blue 77 had the original motor blown years ago so it is fair game . As far as the trip , I drove it around 500 miles from Kansas .

Re: 73 Cheyenne on Ebay

I would love to own a truck like that. I can see myself going back down to texas to retrieve a rust free truck. Went to texas 2 yrs ago to get an 70s impala. Good luck with the sale, regardless of having this truck or not, I believe you'll still have a very clean collection of trucks.

Frank, I lost track of the guy who bought the gold/white truck I got from you. Haven't seen him around in a couple of years.
What did you do with your buckskin SWB?

Re: 73 Cheyenne on Ebay

Ebay is funny . I guess selling a vehicle is always like this but I thought I would share . I have been getting the question " How much to buy it now ?" I have put a price on it and if they dont like the price , they will sometimes get pretty insulting with their response . I usually just respond with a thank you . I do not understand the anger or resentment some of them show . I guess they have the advantage of being unknown so they feel like they can say whatever . It is funny .

Re: 73 Cheyenne on Ebay

I love it when you throw a price and they tell you "I can buy one just like it for half that price". To which I reply "so go buy it".

Either buck up or back up, your fogging my glasses....;0)

I usually say " Are you going to buy it ? If not can I have the number because it sounds like a deal ."

Re: 73 Cheyenne on Ebay

I like the first question you got.. "I am a real $6,500 buyer today.." That made me chuckle, mine is all rusty and dented yet 6500 might get it. The dollar just isnt worth as much lately, I think I will deal in Canadian dollars, they are worth more, arent they?

Ha wow frank your still at it. I sure like that one.

What about that 454 project truck? buy one back sell another get another you really do need help.

All joking aside that is one nice truck you got there but I can respect that you want something to "play" around with.

Good luck

That “coxdl” clown has you confused with someone that needs to sell a truck.

He might just be the biggest jackarse in Idaho, or perhaps, the western USA!
