Is grill also headlight mount?

I'm considering pulling off my grill to try to straighten is some. It hasn't bothered me much for the last 27 years, but all your pretty trucks makes me want to finally fix it.

I pulled the little headlight trim ring, and looked around. I found one bolt (per side) but there must be more, and it is looking like the headlight mount is part of it. I was not intending to disable the truck just to meddle with the grill.

Can the headlights stay put without the grill?
How is that grill mounted?

The headlights do mount to the grille. The grille mounts with four bolts from the back side of the support. Hope this helps.

The one bolt I found goes through the support, accessed within the fender well. That would be the lower one on the grill.

I suspect the other one is higher, probably close to the headlight area. I don't see anything inside the fender well that seems likely. Maybe it is just covered with dirt and I need to clean more?

Or is this other one accessed from the front, maybe? (E.g. into one of those tack welded nuts?)

There's actually 6 grill bolts, 3 on each side. Two (on each side) are hard to see, so I suspect you've taken out the easy ones to see. The other 2 on each side are kinda hidden behind the seam where the fender bolts up. Feel back behind that seam and you'll find them. Then just unplug the headlights and take the grill w/headlights out.
