Suburban Interiors

For those of you with the 'burbs, what are you doing for interior? How do you carpet it and make it comfy for hauling friends

Re: Suburban Interiors

Well, My friend has an account for ICBC so he can buy written off cars/trucks. Im looking to buy a newer suburban/escalade/silverado with the 6.0 vortec. Was going to use the seats out of it, stereo and such. I was talking to a guy that had a 63 burb, all original seats, he said long hauls with the stock seats, was definatly tough haha!

Re: Suburban Interiors

Usually is.. with the 'old-school technology" that they were.

I was hoping to get some ideas for PJ as well [our panel]
As much as we've debated on the exterior, we haven't really gone ANYWHERE with the interior portion.

Re: Suburban Interiors

On the carpet issue for a burb the truck carpet is too short to go to the riser that goes to the back deck...............What i did was to call ACC and have them add some to the back of the pick-up carpet................Can't remember how much extra it was but they did it for me for a charge of course..........................For the back deck I order the same type of carpet and installed it there..............................hemmit

Re: Suburban Interiors

I went w/ pick-up carpet that went under the seats and then used matching carpet the rest of the way back. Its very challenging to do w/ the wheel wells and the door/rocker cut-out meeting the floor. The floor is also different on both sides around the seats.

I like Hemmits idea of going to the riser in the floor; I used a piece of aluminum across the edge to hold the carpet down.

If you do it, post some pics....I was winging it the whole way.

How much did you have them add on? And where would you find matching carpet
