1963 GMC longbox I just picked up

Well after selling my 70 c10 project due to being relocated by my job(which didnt happen-long story) ive been looking for another classic GM truck for a project. A buddy called me one day needing help to load a truck that he just got a killer deal on that he found in the newspaper. Well i get there and absolutely fell in love! Its a 1963 GMC in awesome shape. Almost no rust. Cab corners, rocker panels, door bottoms, everything is cancer free except for a little bit on the front fenders. After getting the truck back to his house and cleaning it up a little bit, we found that someone else had been working on the truck before. It has a new gas tank, inner fenders, radiator support amongst other things. I was soooo jealous! We thought, what the hell lets see if it still runs..(the truck had been sitting for 3yrs) With some good gas and fresh oil the truck fired right up, and drove perfectly! Man, i was sooo excited about the truck, he offered to sell it to me! He only bought it because it was such an awesome deal ($300)....soooo i now have my new project truck! Check out the pics and let me know what you guys think...ohh the truck has a 305 v6 with a manual 4speed

with the hydraulic clutch/master cylinder, I might even hazard a guess at 60, 0r 61 for the year.
check out http://www.6066gmcguy.org/ for all kinds of gmc info. there is a spot on there where you can decode the vin and find out the exact year.

Wow that thing has more colors of sheet metal than those VW loaner cars. However its got less dents than mine hahahaha

Looks like its going to be a fun project.

Great start. It must be nice not having to take 2-3 trucks to build 1 I really like the GMC grille

Awesome deal man! Are you going to keep the 305? Those things are real reliable engines, not a whole lotta power tho, I love mine!!
