rear end question
i have a 72 1/2 4x4 truck with a 12 bolt 6 lug 3.73 rear, what all if any complete rear ends will fit the truck like what years?, id rather just buy the whole thing instead of just a ring/pinion. is it true that the 2wd rears are wider? thanks for any help, tony

Re: rear end question
I think any K10 rear from69 through middle seventies at least will fit and maybe even into the eighties.
I have a 72 K10 rear axle that I would let go for $100. It came out of a running truck but I have not had it apart. I think I remember that you are close enough to pick it up. If you are interested post your email address and I will try to get you some pictures. |

Re: rear end question
I will try to get to that by Wednesday and let you know. The diff came out of a K10 with 350 and 465/250 combo.

va_tlc:
Sorry for the delay, I was out of town longer than I expected. I checked the diff this morning and it is a 3.07 not a 3.73. I have both the front and rear diffs and both are complete if that is of any interest to you. |

Re: rear end question
Let's keep this post from becoming a for sale/want to buy post. If the axles are for sale, please take it to the classified section. Thanks!
