Re: Cut coils before and after
you know i only occasionally hear the tranny noise and its very quiet. somedays i dont hear it at all so i have just left it alone. if it gets worse i will get it fixed otherwise it drives perfect for now. i would love to change the bumper but i may need to tow my parents boat in the summer. with the drop in the rear, will the truck handle a 20 foot boat with tandem axle trailer with brakes that weighs right at 4ooo lbs? if it wont, i will put the other bumper on- thanks for the comments

Re: Cut coils before and after
looks awesome! nothing wrong with step bumpers like you have. My 87 came with a super nice sport bumper and I traded for a nice stock chrome step to tow with. I tried trailer hitches, but they weren't clearing my rear spare and I didn't want to remove it, so I went with the bumper.
Not sure on the weight capacity. Lowered leaf springs, unlike a shackle/hanger kit, reduce capacity so you might want to check the rating on those. |

Re: Cut coils before and after
Looks nice! Go with a sport bumper and a hide-a-hitch.
