LS1 Donor car...
I have a 1970 Chevy 3/4 ton long bed, and a buddy of mine is parting out his 2002 Z28. With exception of the LS1/4L60E everything I want can be had for a very minimal price.
My plan with this truck is to make it pro-street. Nothing too crazy, but something that moves well, handles well, and stops well. I know it's not the most ideal platform, but I don't care either. Now my question is: Has anyone done a 4th gen F-Body K-Member swap with any success? I'd like to get rid of my drums in the first place, and if I could swap in the Z28 brakes as well as upgrade the suspension that would be ideal. |

Re: LS1 Donor car...
Im no expert but I think you can find brackets that you can use to fit the camaro discs. But ive never heard of a K member swap
Some guys locally grafted a Z06 chassis to a 64 Impala chassis so it could probably be done |

Re: LS1 Donor car...
You have the right engine, that oil pan has the better clearance than the Vette or truck pans. About to start the same swap in our 72 chassied 55 GMC. If you need conversion parts LMK. Never done a k member swap of that nature, but have welder will fab!!!
