Hello!
Hey!
Thought I'd introduce myself... Bought an 1987 307 Silverado Shortbed from my brotherin law a few months back... Pictures later - She's not much to look at. Verry Rusty! I've put in a new Tank, sender, and pump on the passenger side as well as a new brake line on the passenger rear. I bought it to move to my new home. And I think I bent the bed frame moving a Piano...at some point I'll be looking for a cheap way to prop that up... From a quick glance at some of the threads around here, you guys do some awesome work! not for me though...just need to keep it running...then when the body rusts out aroung the engine, It'll be my first rebuild... |

Re: Hello!
Welcome from New Hampshire
Going down south for a clean replacement is a great Idea. you would be surprised how cheap trucks can be had down there and out west. They have no idea what rust is.

Re: Hello!
Yo! BigAl!
I've returned worse to the road! Sounds like that frame is gonna be priority #1 though. Here's my custom built FRANKENTRUCK (a Wyoming truck),...it's rust is surface though: I saved a motheaten '66 Mustang several years back, and it's on the road now, but body repair and weatherproofing is easy and cheap compared to major structural reconstruction! When you can, post some pics of that frame damage. Todd. |

Re: Hello!
Yo! BigAl! I mean RETURNED to the road,...like FIXED and roadworthy! Weatherproofed and pretty,...no holes,...Todd.
P.S. Here's a pic of my ol' '66 Mustang. It was $400 and sat in a pile of it's own parts. LARGE holes in all four floor boards, and the rear quarter you are looking at took my 16lb sledge hammer to pound it out about 10": Those were only a few of it's issues. Todd.
