roadster update

well it was a good work weekend.i got all the metal fabrication on the cab done.the transformation is finished.had extra time so i finished baggin the front, and bought some used wheels from my friend.tires are a little small but i like the wheels on it.need some opions on the seat belt mounts.i think it looks fine, but several people said they dont like how the mount sticks out.i also included a picture of my plow truck. its a 78 or 79 gmc.pretty much rusted beyond repair , but works good as a plow truck.

Re: roadster update

Looks good. As far as the seat belts, might be better to just go with a 5 point harness.

Re: roadster update

The belts are making you roll bar like kind of busy right there. I'm not sure what you could do to make it look cleaner.

Re: roadster update

Maybe cut the tab off and weld a nut to the tube. I like the "stock" belts way better than 5 points for a daily driver.

Re: roadster update

Did you attach the roll bars to the frame or just bolt them to the floor?

Just wondering

Re: roadster update

what if you welded a piece to the bottom of the mount,(so it would be like a T) and put a slot to slide the mount into. take it out at shows, slide in for driving

Arrow Re: roadster update

Not trying to nit pick but the placement of the belt on the roll bar appears to be a bit too high like the shoulder belt would go across your forehead and not your shoulder Lol. but maybe it's the angle of the pic i dont know.

Re: roadster update

i like that roadster truck. those seat belt mounts look fine whats tha plain for the rollbars, if you put some fat padding and fabric over it like jeeps those tabs will barely stick out. how bout that windshield are you gonna lean it back a little or take a couple inches out. i had a roadster minitruck back in the day.
