Steering column tech help
I will be ordering my column soon and need to get some "expert" help on the install. I think I know how to measure for the column length but how do you drill the hole in the toe panel? What tool do you use and how do you attach the column there at the toe board?
Any other suggestions/tips will be appreciated. Ididit Column _________________________

ididit the column will be 2 1/4 diameter. You can use a hole saw to drill the hole in toe board, you will have to use a 2 1/4 inch hole saw.To secire the column to the toe board you will need to purchase a floor mount this will attach to the column and the toe board,Ididit sells them. If you are not going to be buying a cloumnwith a shifter in it the column will be a 2 inch diameter. Then you will use a 2 inch hole saw to drill the hole in the toe board. Then yo will need to buy a 2 inch floor mount.Hopefully this helps you out. One more thing to add we are a stocking dealer for ididit and have great prices and can save you some money on the column. We have are own Floor mount and are own column drop as well to help you out.You can go to www.scottshotrods.com and see the column drops and floormounts. We can also tell you exactly what you will need on the lenghth off the column to help you out. Thankyou, Justin scotts Hotrods |
