where's all the snow pushers at?

Tis the season, lets see how many of our trucks are working this winter? Any snow plows out there? I'm pushin snow, but i'm doing it from the comfort of my 06 dodge. Lowered suburbans dont push snow good at all.

Lowered rigs push snow great! For a few feet. Then they get stuck.

Re: where's all the snow pushers at?

aw now I KNOW that aint' true. Winter of 96 me and some buds got a place together. At that time it was a record snowfall and the city plows had piled the snow into six foot high burms on the centerlines and edges of the major roads. One of the guys I was rooming with had a mid 80's cutlass in our old shop across town. well this was before I had a truck/trailer and well like the plates said it was "2lo2tow". It was new years eve day when we moved it and there was about 6" of fresh powder on the streets. All I can remember is all of us laughing our a$$e$ off watching the rooster tail of snow that thing kicked as he drove across town. You couldn't see the car cause of the snow pile which only added to the effect. he made it at least 5 miles on 155/80/13" full reverse wires without getting stuck once.

I wasn't. I am 37 and I only recall snow that stuck 3 times in my lifetime. If there happens to be "flurries" (basically you can see tiny flakes that melt as soon as they hit the ground) people lose their minds. Kids get all excited, stupid people forget how to drive-it's just amazing!

Re: where's all the snow pushers at?

Hey micmac did you go to the store and buy everything you could so incase you got snowed in? I lived down there for a while and MAN stuff in the stores went fast if the word was even said. As far a the 155/80/13 goes I had a car with hydros and rev, knock offs and ran into about 18" of snow and had no problems but get in my truck with 255-70-16 and couldn't hardly get around because them skinny(and I mean SKINNY) tires on a wide rim only had about 4" on the ground and were good to burn through snow and ice. Not to hyjac post,SORRY.

This is all I could find. I pulled these from the 1966 SILVER BOOK, Engineered Vocational Equipment For Chevrolet Trucks.

Seems like there are a couple around here with plows on them. I'll be on the look out and try and get pics.
