Re: 67' lift

I heard you can you use 69-72 parts, if you remove your cast front spring perches and replace w/69-72 perches. I'm sure someone else will chime in here w/more info.

More info here:

Re: 67' lift

I thought I heard that the '67 and '68 lift kits use the same front springs as the '69-'72, but the back springs are different. I was thinking of using these for the back.

Re: 67' lift

I am in the process of lifting my 67 GMC right now and tackling the same problem. Nobody makes a rear spring for the 67 and 68 trucks, they are a different length and mine tapered from 3 inches at the end to 2 1/2 over the axle. I live in near Tulsa Oklahoma so I went to TULSA AUTO SPRING and had them make me some custom 5 leaf springs with about 2 inches of lift over stock. I just took them my stock springs and had them built the same length but 2 1/2 inch with no taper. These springs are only 200$ each which is about the same as a quality lift spring. I believe that the front springs are the same as the 69-72 so you could buy a lift kit with front leafs and shocks and just have custom rear springs made. I felt it was the easiest route for me. The spring shop said that if I wasnt happy with the lift height or the carrying capacity they would adjust them for no charge.
