? on some sort of sensor
Yeah i know this is and el camino but i have a switch that has 2 places to put a vacume line and an electrical connector with 2 wires. when the elcamino caught fire i didnt know what it was for so i left it disconnected and now im wondering if it might be for the converter clutch scince it had a 700r4 put in it. it was located on the passenger side near the back of the intake manifold. the only number that i can read on it is L 4305. thanks

Is it red? Sounds like the EGR bleed solenoid to me. I do know the EGR vacuum hooks to it, as well as the TCC. As to what it does, I've never fully understood. Something to do with bleeding off the EGR under certain conditions depending on what gear the tranny is in.
Just a guess.

yeah, its the egr bleed solenoid. one of the vaccum hoses goes to the egr valve and the other to the port on the back of the carb. i dont know what it does either, but i just have the carb and the electric thing to the tranny hooked up since i no longer have my egr |
