Testing the waters.... Whats it worth...
I have a 68 short wide bed that I started working on a couple years ago. So far i have done the tare down work. The front clip is off, the front and rear windows are gone and the truck is gutted. It is basically ready for media blasting and then primer.
The truck has some rust in the cab corners and rocker panels. I have patch panels for both the original hood is fair and the emblem holes have been filled. Hood hinges are shot and need replaced and the drivers door is tweaked and will probably need to be replaced. Other then that the frame is solid the bed is straight as well as the cab, the metal floor is ruff and has a couple areas that have some rust. Here are a couple pics of the truck before and during the tare down. It needs to go!!!! Make me a reasonable offer and lets see what we can do!!! I guess I will start asking at $1250 OBO and go from there!!!!!! Also I have a ton of other parts including a 5.3L out of an 02 chevy, body mounts, gauges, tilt column, disk brake conversion, and lots of other stuff that I will list here soon. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by bigo181979; 12-22-2008 at 07:11 PM. |

Re: Testing the waters.... Whats it worth...
I believe you have to post a price with an ad here but I would be interested in the rolling body as is after you have a price in mind.
Or just move this over to the WIW "What's it worth" section for opinions. Mark

Re: Testing the waters.... Whats it worth...
The 5.3 came out of my 02 silverado, we put a 6.0 in it
![]() ![]() As for the gauges they are autometer C2 series. I purchased them to fit in the following billet panel: http://www.truckbuildermagazine.com/...53802A8EF0A2EC which I have available for sale as well as the matching glove box door! $225 for guage panel and $150 for door plus shipping. Both are still in the box! I will have to see what guages I have exactly but I know i have speedo, tach, gas level, voltage, water temp and oil, but i dont remember if it is pressure or temp on the oil. I also have a boost guage that matches as well... I spent well over $700 on the set of guages make me an offer and we will see. Last edited by bigo181979; 12-23-2008 at 04:25 AM. |

Re: Testing the waters.... Whats it worth...
Congrats on the quick sale. Should we be looking for a build thread from another board member now?
