Re: cb antenna

how many antenna connections do you have on the back of the radio?

what do they look like?

Come to think of it, the radio may use the built in antenna on the windshield if that's what you use... it is possible to transmit from that antenna, but the SWR may not be best for the transmitter to operate as well as it would on a CB antenna.

Re: cb antenna

You can get an antennae that goes in the stock location that is used for both the radio and CB, but they don't work very well.

Re: cb antenna

WOW, what kind of a coicidence is that?? I've been knocking my brains out trying to figure out how to mount mine without cutting, drilling and generally making a huge mess of things and last night I figured it out. I have some POWERFUL rare earth magnets out of a computer hard drive and after some testing on the side of my file cabinet, I'm going to use those to hang it from the roof right where it was in the 18 wheeler I used to drive. No muss, no fuss. Just some very neet wire looming and it's a done deal. Am I smart or what? LOLL, NOT!!!, jim OH, I'll post pics now that I know how, LOL

The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose.

Re: cb antenna

Forgot something yesterday. Not to hijack the thread, but I have got to have the wierdest GM factory radio ever made. It came out of a 1977 Caprice wagon. It's an AM sterio 8 track!! No FM. Am is mono and 8 track is sterio. odd thing is it works, lol
