Does anybody know where I can locate the correct pedal for a '56? The splines on the one I have doesn't mesh with the cross shaft at the correct angle. Also which release fork will work with the original setup? I found one on evil bay for $70.00!!! , lists a bunch of different applications for it, Want to make sure it will work.

Are you just needing the pedal arm, or what? I have a 56 parts truck.

I just need the actual pedal your foot comes in contact with.Also the release fork that clips in bellhousing.

I still have the stock clutch linkage setup for my 59 and will not be using it. Didn't know it was worth $70, LOL. If Caveman can't help you pm me.

Sorry I didn't get back at you yesterday, rained like crazy here.....all that's left on my 56 is the brake pedal. I do have the clutch assembly pedal from my 59 I won't be using, it should be the same. Don't have a release bearing fork.

Let me know if you're interested, I can take a couple pics and send you.

Not sure if they are interchangable, That's the issue I have now. The pedal & cross shaft don't mesh correctly. Everything looked good until I tried to assemble.

I am really busy until Thursday but will dig out my stuff and take some photos so you can compare to yours to what I have to see if it will work.

Can someone post the part number for the correct fork. I got a nice pedal, worked great. The clutch fork I bought isn't the right part.Also where can I get a brake pedal?

I looked this morning and all I could find clutch related was the lever shaft that goes through the frame. Pedal , rest of linkage and throw out arm are MIA, probably sold with the clutch assy and tranny.

I did find a clutch fork that looks like the correct part, GM # 839240. Description says for earlier model car?

I may have an extra brake pedal I could make you a really good deal on. If I don't have one now, I will shortly when I convert to a firewall M/C.

I did a search online and at stovebolt and found the same thing. Difference is probably the bellhousing. There was some discussion about pivot points being different but I could not find a specific place that told which would interchange. You might go to www.stovebolt.com and ask the question over there.
