Re: The Drop Thread
If y'all want to put together a serious effort I will clean things up as they go.
I suggest everyone post tire/wheel size and backspace along with amount of drop and method/brand of parts used.

to figure out what suspension parts I want to buy, and who to buy from. And if you didn't like the part, or the service from the company, tell us. I first lowered my 77 with DJM Drop shackles and DJM 2" coils, I got 'em at Harry's Hot rod and they were a little over priced compaired to mail order, but I didn't have to wait. Then I lowered the front more with DJM 3" spindles I got from Godfather customs. The cost around $260? shipped, and got here fast and not beat up, but those DJM spindles had to be ground down to fit 15x7 steel wheels, and ground down even more to fit rallys, aluminum wheels were not even close to fitting, so they would only be good for bigger wheels, plus I scraped the ground all the time, so I removed them, but would have kept them had I known another truck was going to folow me home. The rear got lowered more by removing the hangers and welding higher on the frame, and two springs removed ea. side. About a 5" drop total. Should have done a flip kit. 235/70 Front. 275/60 Rear |
