I call this, "Crackman's Longhorn"
Ok, this guy doesn't even know that this is a Longhorn, he just calls it a longbed. He also says it's a older resto(bondo and alot of it). This masterpeice can be had for $2500. What is he thinking?
[img]http://images.fotki.com/v4/free/8653/4/41187/110688/P1010007-vi.jpg?1021222466[img] I will give it this. The inner grill is nice, there is no rust above the windsheild, and it has new tires. The inner wheel tubs in the bed are shot. I dunno, I know of ALOT nicer 67-72 for $2500 that might be added to my fleet...... ------------------ http://hometown.aol.com/racedvl/racedvl69index.html Woodstock,IL.northwest of Chicago It's not what you buy, it's what you build!! Aw heck, just a little surface rust, real easy to fix. A weekends worth of clean up and it will be like new!

I agree on the door there. Maybe I'm spoiled on Arizona trucks, but rust that high up just isn't right...

A copuple odd things about it, are those 292 badges on it, or was the engine swapped out? You never see those anywhere.
Also, you noticed the voltage regulater on the fenderwell??? Was there anything else kinda 'not right' on it? ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. From the looks of that door on the inside it would be my guess that you could not get a magnet to stick to it any where on the outside. Maybe he should get an award for the world's largest bondo scupture.

I'm with ya on that $250.00 price, that would be a lot closer to the actual value. Entirely too much rust for me.

man, i don't think i've seen 10 vehicles in my whole life that are as rotten as that one. i pity you guys that have to deal with all that d*mn salt, and such. they just don't rot like that in Louisiana.....except around New Orleans and that is if you can find one that is'nt bent to hell and back. the absolute worst drivers in the world live there with no regard for property of others. i have never seen a 67-72 with much rust except under the battery tray, and the cab corners and rockers (arrgghhh).

I dunno, even around here, I've never seen a door rust like that! I would like the hood hinges off it though, the hood goes up with no effort! I have to sweet talk my hood open......

I've tried to figure out how that door got rusted since I first seen the picture yesterday. I just don't know how moisture can get collected in the upper corner like that. I mean, my uncle has some 67-72 trucks that have sat in his pasture for about 15 years now. Even the ones with the doors stuck open haven't rusted like that.

We get the same bullsh!t up here in Seattle. In my 1 1/2 years in looking for a decent project truck I saw trucks WAY worse than this being sold for $3500+, and the sad thing is they SELL!
He's selling it for that much because he's either an idiot, or he actually knows he can get that much. I bet the door was laying in the dirt off the truck for a while. That would explain the rust. Water has too collect to do that kind of damage. Even if you sat the door upright out in the weather for 10 years only the bottom would rot out. My truck has bondo spots, but funny thing is the spots are on panels I have to replace anyway! LOL Gotta pick and choose your battles, but this one I'd part out. It's a project gone bad.
