not to be rude but.......
sorry I replied to some threads with out introduction but I thought I could help. A little about my self Im a 30 year old kid that still plays with trucks and equipment big and small. I currently work for a crushing and screening dealer in the north esast. I have 12 years diesel experiance on every thing from trucks to big iron. I became a combat vet with the 82 Airborne Div back in 02. my job in the Army was heavy equipment mech/paratrooper. I have had a strong love for the 67-72 trucks from about age ten. we had a few of them on the dairy farm wile I was growing up. I now own a 71 4x4 1/2ton long bed with the sm465 4spd, 350ci, 205, 4.11 no lift. future plans include a nv4500 swap( I have the doner truck 94 ton single wheel 6.5L TD 4x4. and possibly a doubler and 3/4 axel 44/14ff (doner truck 78, 3/4ton, 4x4, 350ci, th400, 203. ring and pinion bad in front diff 3.73). other plans include small lift with respectable tires 33 or 35s. I plan to drive this truck daily. and may move to colorado. I will help any one I can. I look for ward to it!

Re: not to be rude but.......
I don't rock crawl yet why do you ask? I dont plan on beating up my truck. as it was sort of a gift from a good friend (I needed a truck last winter and he said you can drive the orange truck and when you get some money you just give me what you think is fair). he had the truck for some time 5 years or so the last two they used it as a wood truck draging wood out for the sap house it had a home made flat bed on it he had a bed but it was 50-50 if it was worth fixing and was sitting on the ground I picked the old off and we fit the new one one day with my work truck. I have been fixing it and had a diffrent friend do some body work but had some helth problems and did not finish before winter. we are still making progress I want a good all around truck. I plan on moving to colorado and dont want to wrench to up grade my truck when I get out there. it would be nice to have it done when I leave.
