Spark Plug Heat Shields
Here is a cool new source to protect your spark plug wires when running headers:
Everyone Ready: 1998 and up Chevy Impala with the 3.8L v-6 On each of the plug wires there is a metal heat shield that just slips over the ends of the spark plug wire. They are super easy to remove and work awesome And before anyone else does it:

Re: Spark Plug Heat Shields
Are these the shields you are talking about? These are on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Re: Spark Plug Heat Shields
Yup, those are them.
Those are super cool to stop from burnout after laying down on hot headers.

Re: Spark Plug Heat Shields
Went out to pic n pull and grabbed some heat shields. I found them on Old, Chevy and Pontiac. They are lined with an insulator also.
I used some Mothers on one to see how they clean up, hey not to bad. I have 90 degree boots on mine at the moment that I keep meaning to change so I can't show you an installation right now but here are the parts.
