Help installing 5.3L in my 1969
Has anyone put a newer 5.3L into their 1967-72? I'm thinking about doing it and was wondering if anyone has any advice, tips, horror stories, etc. I was wondering how much it would cost to do it with buying the engine, computer, wiring harness, fuel system, etc. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

We have several members that are doing that same swap right now and more in the planning stages. Do a search for 5.3 and you'll get several of the threads popping up. I hope to do this myself someday soon.

Re: Help installing 5.3L in my 1969
I did a 4.8 in my truck which has a c-10 frame, it costs me $2167 for the motor and all! I used my existing 700r4. It cranked on the first try last try. first try!
