Got my exhaust installed!
I got my exhaust installed the other day. Its 2 1/2" duals with incenerator mufflers. Supposed to be a flowmaster design. It sounds pretty good. Loud as hell driving it to the muffler shop, but much better now. They did an excellent job and kept it up tight against the floor. I didn't want the big tips out the back as thats a pet peve of mine. They could of cut the tips a little shorter, but I'm happy with it for now. Let me know what you think.

Re: Got my exhaust installed!
I agree!
Thats about how I want mine done as well. Just don't care for oversized chromed pips straight out the back or sides. Yours looks good!

Re: Got my exhaust installed!
i like my tips, but not the polished shiny kind. i have my duals strait out the back and cut. just stainless steel, unpolised, like the rest of the system, looks good.

Looks good. I like shiny polished tips...or cut off and dumped, out of sight.

Re: Got my exhaust installed!
Thanks for the comments! I should have said more about the 'tips'. I've seen to many trucks with the huge chrome tips that stick out past the back bumper about 6 inches. I can't stand those! Over here in N.C., all the 'redneck trucks' with the rebel flags hanging off the bed and loud as heck (trying not to offend anyone) drive me crazy. I like the simple clean, hear it but don't see it exhaust. I guess this is kind of a rant, but oh well. Thanks guys!

Re: Got my exhaust installed!
I'm actually in north asheville at new stock road exit off of I-26. The muffler shop is North Buncombe Muffler and Brakes. I had several people recommend him and he's a car nut himself. He invited me to some local car shows coming up and is a great guy to deal with. He did a great job and fairly priced also. PM me if you want his number.

Re: Got my exhaust installed!
bigguy69, yes, we'll meet up sometime. We've got a local show on april 11 in weaverville. Usually only a few cars but a good networking thing. Usually meet alot of car guys and everyone does the trading around thing. Sameyrasmea 72, this cost me $325. The flowmasters would of run close to $400 and i could of got cherry bombs for $250??. I checked a few shops and this seemed to be the going rate for this area. I like to support the 'little guys' rather than the big name muffler shops around. This guy took the extra effort to make it what i wanted.

Re: Got my exhaust installed!
Looks great, I love how the exhaust exits, kinda reminds me of a late 70's Pontiac Trans Am.
How do these mufflers sound? Do they drone any? |
