Need Dash ideas and info
Ok, so the 67 I just got has a non orginal 67-72 AC dash crammed into place. i will be pulling it and trying to determine how to fill the hole. I've seen the guy on th board with the edsal dash but don't like the curved sections on the doors. I've also seen the 59 impala which I did the guage cluster, but not too impressed with the rest of it versus a factory 67-72 dash.
i don't think I want to go newer, so anybody got a good dash/cluster idea, or even better a line on a 66 or older SOMETHING being parted or already seperated? i dig the early corvette dash but that's too much money. Maybe 66 chevelle, maybe something i've never even seen! Come on guys, who gots some ideas, pics, or goods!

Re: Need Dash ideas and info
dig that first gen nova. Like the ease of grafting that impala case on any dash, but not sure I like the wide short speedo. I have a spare second gen nova gauge cluster, maybe I should do that in a 67 truck dash frame since I have em.

Re: Need Dash ideas and info
Normally I probably wouldn't justify it, but the existing dash isn't really attached except the side bolts, so it's reason to consider something new.

Re: Need Dash ideas and info
I located a 62 nova dash and cluster, but the very ends are notced and the top has been cut off. i was thinking last night I could graft it into a truck dash, which would then bolt in perfectly, and then i could put a truck dash pad on.

Re: Need Dash ideas and info
yes, someone previous to me pulled factory dash out completely (including the spot welds) then screwed (yes through into the cowl area) a bit of it back into place, but mangled down. This then served a ledge for the AC dash to rest on, but rather than making it nice, they curled the front of the AC dash up!!! hideous, and why wouldn't you just screw the AC dash liek you did the ledge piece I'll never know.
