New Truck
Last week i bought my first truck. its a 67 GMC. its got a 350 and i think its the stock transmission. it seems to run fine...the mater cylinder has a slow leak but im gonna replace it this saturday. wat else should i check to make sure this truck will run good for a long time? any feedback helps thanks

 on the new truck!I would go through the basics right now, including an oil and filter change, checking the air filter, inspecting the brakes (as well as getting that Master cyl. replaced), checking coolant levels, visually inspecting your belts and hoses. That should keep er' runnin' happy as a pig in mud. As a side note, to keep her pretty [and, in some cases, safe], what I also like to do is look over the whole thing for rust. I like to keep a close eye on rust-inhibited areas and monitor it's effect over time to make sure vital components aren't effected until repairs and restorations can be made. Hope these pointers bring years of enjoyment! |
