Tryin to get low like everybody else...before/ after

Just kidding, I had to put these little tires on my truck to get it in the garage. Its amazing how wheels and tires change the look of a truck.

Go to a Monster Truck show sometime and watch them load/unload the trucks on/off the trailers. Looks even more ridiculous than that.

Re: Tryin to get low like everybody else...before/ after

You reminded me of my garage story. The first time I converted my 59 I pulled it into my 1905 homes one horse garage as a two wheel drive. The truck barely fit. A year passes as I do a frame one semi restoration, add the 4wd axles which raised the truck 4". I get it running and its finally ready for its maiden journey to the muffler shop. I get in and start to pull out of the garge when my wife starts yelling. The cab is about to hit the header above the door! Luckily I let the air out of the tire and at about 5 pounds there was just enough room to clear with the tires not blowing the bead seal. When I built my shop at the new house I put in 9' doors...

Back in the day when these trucks were original a 7.75x 16 tire was considered big, and 9.75's on "special" 7.5" wide rims huge!!

My next wife is going to have to have a big shop for sure!! It was great finally getting the truck inside. The carnage begins. Im taking it down to the frame. I bought the truck in its current state about 6 months ago then had back surgery. Ive just been looking at it out the window. I will get a build thread going pretty quick.
