got some c20 susp q's
ive decided to keep my 70 a 3/4 ton. but i still want to do front discs. was curious of a couple of things.
1. what years can i pull the front discs off of for the easiest conversion? 2. i have power brakes w/ drum/drum what will i need to change booster wise for that to go to disc/drum. 3. is there anyway i can still use drop spindles on a 3/4 ton hub? thanks for the help.

for the disc... you can probably find you a 73 up donor vehicle that will get you everything you need... spindles, brakes... ect.... On 3/4 ton drop spindles. I have not a clue who would make them but I am fairly confident that your 8 lug rotors will not work on a 1/2 ton spindle. if anything, You may get lucky with a 1 ton spindle

Re: got some c20 susp q's
so by ending up with 1/2 brakes do you mean 5 lug? or just a weaker brake system? also If i end up doing 73 and up stuff will i need to do a hub-to-hub sort of swap with tie rods, cross member and all?

Re: got some c20 susp q's
I think both 5 or 6 lug and smaller brake components unless some knows if there's a way to use 3/4 rotors and adapt for the calipers. I'm in a similar situation whereas I want to turn my 3/4 into a 1/2 and was considering either these spindles or changing every thing out and getting 1/2 drops

Classic Performance Products has a drop spindle that will upgrade your tie rod ends and ball joints to a 73-87 3/4ton and 1 ton. You should just be able to get the brake components from a 70-72 C20 then use these spindles. here is a link. http://www.classicperform.com/Store/...ck/6370SSK.htm

Re: got some c20 susp q's
I am not familiar with 70's control arms. But on my 65 C20 I am changing my upper and lower ball joints to 73's and using my stock control arms. Then purchasing 73 drop spindles and 73 disc brake components.
