Brakes are holding all the time??
My truck has went through a hold lot of problems trying to get the front disc/power brake conversion. But Now that I have drove it a few times all of a sudden the brakes are sticking on(as if they were applied). Originally I thought it could just be a caliper problem but it is both fronts(or all four sticking)WTF? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this problem?
Thanks for any help. ------------------ 1972 2wd Blazer (Project) 1969 Chevy C10 (Driver) http://community.webshots.com/user/69chevytruck 2002 Chevy Trailblazer (Wifes)

I had that problem one time, it like to drove me crazy. I could actaully open the bleeder screws and let the pressure off and the next time I applied the brakes they would drag. Well after days of scratching my head I replaced the master cylinder even tho it was new. That was it, the new master cylinder was defective.

Is it a parts store reman. master cylinder? They're notorious for being junk out of the box. That's the first thing I'd look at.

Make sure that you specify Mastercylinder for disc/drum and not drum/drum or you will have that very problem every time.

Watch your brake pedal, I had a blazer give to me last year that did that. When I replace the master cylinder it still would lock up. then I happened to watch the pedal and it would acually pull down toward the floor when you'd start the truck. replaced the booster and that was the end of the problem.

Thanks for the response I am not sure about why but we readjusted the rod from the pedal to the booster. That solved the problem this was actually the third master cyclinder since beginning the brake job so I hope it was just an adjustment problem.
