Hedman Headers

I saw a pair of Hedman headers on car-stuff.com for a pretty good price. I was wondering if anybody has installed these type of headers(#HF5668600) in our 60-66 trucks. I'm planning on dropping my ride some more in the future and would like to make sure that there's plenty of ground clearance. thanks in advance.........Sid.

Re: Hedman Headers

I just got a set of (part #69260) and was told that they would work. I hope to install my new 350 this weekend and will let you know. I'll also post pictures so that you can check for ground clearance.

Re: Hedman Headers

This fella used the 69260 that drogers mentioned, on his '64 fleetside.

He has pictures of the headers, here:

Re: Hedman Headers

I used Headmans 69090 on my 350 but I don't have a cab on the frame, so pics might not do you any good.

Re: Hedman Headers

i installed the midlengths (68618,for bbc), and i had to grind the frame on the passenger side and the motor mount on the drivers side. i believe you can only use a mini starter , due to clearance issues

It's ok. Not the best maybe 2" ? I could be wrong. I'll take some pictures and measure. I sprayed mine with ceramic coating. I am hoping that by coating them it will keep the heat down. If I have problems with my starter i'll just make a heat shield.

Sounds good.... thanks!! I've never used that style headers before but seemed like they might work. I took a look at the engine and drivetrain section and saw a thread about that style headers for 67-72 chevelle but they were for big blocks. Like I said, I found that style for small blocks just wonderin' if anybody has had any experiences with them.. Thanks alot guys for all your help and input. Any more input would be a great help.... thanks again..... Sid
