Disc brakes /brake lines
i have a question .i am going to run front and rear brakes on my 64 .how do you run the lines .i think the two back lines go to a tee and then run as one all the way to the prop valve the the two front lines go to a tee and then go up to the prop valve .then the prop valve is connected to the master cylinder .i'm i close .

You are correct on the rear, and the front can sometimes be as you said, but sometimes both the front lines go to the combo valve. It pretty much depends on the combo valve you get.

Yes, the usual setup (including factory) is one line to a T-block that was/is mounted on the axle (passenger side).
If you are running a disc/and drum combination you will definately need a proportioning valve, as the pressures needed to work disc are much different than for drums.

by combo valve you mean prop valve ,if so it came from a 85 c/10

Since you're using a stock proportioning valve, you might need to put an adjustable proportioning valve in the rear line so you can adjust the rear line pressure with the rear discs. What I would do is just plumb it without the adjustable valve and drive it and see how it is, then go from there.

you haven't said if you are running all drums or disc in front or what. For all drums, depending on the model and year, you could have a simple single line from master for front going to a T and a single line from master for rear going to a T on axle/panhard mount; later years would have lines from master cylinder going through a distribution block with sender-to-idiot light to warn of low pressure in system. Usually, an all drum system did not have a proportioning valve; but it becomes necessary with split disc/drum systems as mentioned above. The proportioning valve goes in the line to the rear brakes, and you adjust it to keep rear wheels from locking up under hard braking. You can adjust it with a brake pressure gauge (expensive) or just do several hard stops and adjust until rear brakes wheels no longer lock up. good luck.
