Wheel size ?? What can i get away with ?

I have a 63 c10 longbed fleetside,
It has 2" drop spindels + 2" drop springs Up front & will have 5" drop coils at the rear, (rear axle is standard and has not been narrowed) Ideally i want 18s + 20s
Not sure about backspacing ?

With a 2" drop all around you should clear the wells with a set of 20's. I'm running 20x8.5's with Kumho 275/45/R20's. With a 2" drop in front it should cover the top lip of the them. And it should work in the rear too. I'm thinking the backspacing is about 5". My avatar is a pic of my driver's side front and you can see how it fills the wells. Plus that picture is while it was still up on the jack so I should be almost to the top of the fender.

Here's some pics. Keep in my mind the suspension is stock height and the pics are taken with the front end jacked up because the lug nuts were not on. Once they are sitting the tire should be just about level with the top of the fender.

6 lug Chrome. And they're not exactly the same wheel but I actually chose these because they're like those and have the curved spoke which compliments the body lines. You can also get them in a black gloss with the chrome lip. They're actually nicely priced too. I got the full set of wheels and tires brand new from a local tire store for a little less than $1500. But being good friends with the owner helps.

Here's the site. The 307 are even closer to those wheels that you are speaking of and around the same price range. They're made in the good ole USA but you should be able to get them. You can even buy them through Summit Racing.

Re: Wheel size ?? What can i get away with ?

I'm finishing up the body work on my hood and then it's time for paint. I should have paint on it in about 2-3 weeks. After that I have to mold and shape my speaker enclosure to fit where the gas tank was so that it molds seamlessly to the back wall along with making the center console. Once those two are ready it's time to wire everything and get her rolling.
