If I could get a dang camera sorted out yall would be getting "Nate's Junkyard crawl" with pictures of epic proportions!
J did send me a pic of that slammed wagon at pick and pull I was drooling over tho, so that's all I have for now. |

Re: junkyard finds
It's a 245. (240/244 = sedan) (242 = coupe) I'm only into the 200 series,
I don't like the looks of the other ones, the volvette is a cool project tho. Chevy V8s are an easy fit in all of them. I'm kinda surprised this thread isn't full of junkyard pics by now. Well someone's gotta post a chevy before someone complains about the volvos. |

Re: junkyard finds
Bezel and trim are from the same truck, just cleaned them up. 31,000 mile 77, big block with air, standard, floor shift with tilt column. column is still there as is a lot of the brightwork. Dennys auto wrecking in Erie, PA. going out of business and crushing everything. 30 or so cheys and gmcs from the early 60s up to now. Couple Bazers and Jimmys, center consoles, bucket seat cores. Going fast. Factory radio delete plate from a dept. of corrections '84 a few trucks down. heading back out with the cordless sawzall to butcher a dash and get the factory radio mount to put factory radio back into my 77. 10 bucks for working AM/FM casette in perfect shape. of course not everything is in good shape. Re: junkyard finds
The picture with the cap is when the tow truck brought it home from the junkyard. The other picture is a day later after spending 20 bucks on paint for the rims and a cleaning products. So, 620 dollars was invested total.

Re: junkyard finds
long as it runs, that was 620 well spent.

Junkyard finds...Almost everything on my '73 is from the local junkyard! Cheap too. I got a the hood, cherry for $30, the front bumper for $20, the bench seat for $25, the wheels for $40 for all four, sport mirrors for $5 each, and many other small, misc stuff. I love that place! And it always has a few squarebodies in the to choose from.
