Does this happen to anyone else?
I am slowlly puting money away to do some work on my 69 c10. Everytime I get about $400 saved something else goes wrong. This time I need to spend this on my daily driver import. I was coming home from work and a brake booster took a dump. Reman booster is $303 plus $37 for a core. I can park it and drive my c10 but it doesn't have a/c. So I have to fix my import. I am just venting. Something always comes up when I am ready to buy parts for my truck. Does this happen to anyone else?

I don't know how old you are but I'll be 60 in 11 days and that has been happening to me all my life and still happens. Anyone that has raised a family knows what I'm talking about !!!!!!

Emergency fund! Put some money away that is only there to cover things that go boom, and don't spend it on parts. Next time something breaks (car, house, teeth, leg) it won't be a big deal then.

Re: Does this happen to anyone else?
Believe it or not what I always have done my whole life is everytime I pay for something and I get change back quarters, nickels, dimes I never use them instead I put them in different jars. I accumulate for months at a time the when it looks like it is half way or more I wrap it and take it to the bank I have had as much as 700.00 one time and the average is around 300-400 dollars every 6-8 months...
