throttle cable to long
on my 88 crew cab I've came to the conclusion that my throttle cable is to long so I'm wondering how I can short'n it. Is that plastic grommet that goes through the firewall part of the cable caseing or will it move like on the older trucks I'd kind of like an Idea before I tare it apart and find out its not going to work

Re: throttle cable to long
Engine throttle cable or trans TV cable? Engine cable is not adjustable, unless you crimp a new end on. tV cable is adjustable at the engine end by depressing the lock tab.

Re: throttle cable to long
I don't have a tv cable and just looking at the throttle cable I didn't think you could easily shorten it. I was hoping someone had a trick to do it. so I'll get one out of another truck and play with it
