lowering cheap

I am building a budget 1969 gmc long box with 6 cyl I bought a cheap set of 2/4 lowering springs and its ok I would like to go lower without spending alot is it possible to cut the lowering springs a bit to tuck it a bit lower this will not be a daily driver just a fun weekend truck or nice day truck any ideas would be great thanks

Fronts yes rears no but you may wana cut the stock springs first to try you can also get blocks

do you plan on centering the rear with an adjustable panhard or just run it lopsided how about the shock angle for a better ride quality or is the buckboard ride ok with you?

sorry I did get the adj panhard bar and shock relocator I think I might try blocks and cut the front springs a bit any other ideas thanks

if you're putting blocks on . you'll have the axel off the trailing arms ,it's a perfect time to replace those bushings . not alot of money alto abit more work but you'll be over half way there already

just got some spring clamps from ebay. they clamp the spring down and make it a little lower. i havent installed them yet, but they look pretty good

well it says it improves the handling, which means the springs will be more stiff. i dont know if it will make it more bumpy

I know it's not the cheapest way, but for the front I'd get some drop spindles. And while you're at it, go ahead and replace the ball joints and other components if needed. It will make it work good all together.
