Replacing door hinges???
The hinges on the driver's side are sagging pretty bad on my '79. I'd like to replace them and the strikers at the same time.
Is LMC the only place to get them? Should I get the hinge bolt kit to go with it or can I find what I need at a hardware store? Do you have any tips?

Re: Replacing door hinges???
Are you sure it's the hinges that are sagging? Have you replaced the hinge pins and bushings? I have seen hinges wear out, but normally it's the pins and bushings that cause the sagging doors.

Re: Replacing door hinges???
No, I'm not sure. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try the "Door Hinge Pin Kit" first and see if that does the trick.

Re: Replacing door hinges???
hing replacement is easy
Pins can be more of a pain but not that bad at all. I can't remember exactly but i think the hing has at least 3 bolts that hold it on the cab and two that hold it to the door. two of the cab bolts are on the outside and the other needs to be accessed threw the govebox door area. Kinda a pain especially if you have ac. As for the bolts I would be suprised if they need to be replaced. Mine have all been fine and our trucks get rusty here.

Re: Replacing door hinges???
Would I just be better off removing the hinges to replace the pins rather than trying to do it with them on the truck?
