wire
my ground wire doesn't look too great ...alot of the outside rubber is chipped away and is just plan used and abused lol so i was wondering would a 4gauge amp power wire be good enough for my ground

as long as the wire you are using for ground is the same size or bigger than your positive cable it will work just fine. 4 gauge should be plenty good bro.

Ensure your bonding wire from the cab to the engine is good, along with the ground from the battery to the front radiator support.

It won't hurt for the insulation to be gone on a ground wire.
If it's corroded you should replace it though. Check you'r pos cable while you're under the hood, the insulation on it could be on it's way out, and with the fuel leaks you have, you don't want any sparky sparky.

Using the cable is fine but what about the Terminal ends?? Pinching the cable under the head of a bolt isn't a permanent fix.

Battery cables should have the ends soldered to the terminals. Remember, Bad connections cause resistance which causes heat, which causes more resistance, which causes more heat, which causes more resistance..... If you can get a voltmeter, use the OHM setting to find out how good your connections are.
