Petit Jean (ARK) Swap Meet - Trucks For Sale
Okay, here's some pix from the car corral at Petit Jean Mountain, today. These are trucks for sale. Some are reasonable, others are priced as expected. A few parts pix are included, too. Hope you enjoy. First one is a '67 C-30. The others are of a '67 GMC.

Re: Petit Jean (ARK) Swap Meet - Trucks For Sale
Here we go again. This truck is equipped with a 468 and needs nothing for appearance sake. But, the conversions that have been done still leave it needing a disc brake conversion.

Again...the '69 Chevy stepside belongs to the same guy as the '67 1-ton flatbed. The '70 in prime supposedly has been primed and blocked 3 times and is ready for paint. All the missing components go with it.

I was planning to be there but I had to work. Did you pick up any deals?

Re: Petit Jean (ARK) Swap Meet - Trucks For Sale
I hobbled around the grounds, toting my camera and using a stick to provide some much-needed support, finally making my way to the vendors by the parade ground. I bought a new dash bezel ($40) and an Old-Air kit to convert the ashtray to a cup holder ($60), both from Kenny of Kenny's Trucks.
I met a guy next to Kenny's who buys/sells GM automotive parts - trim mostly. I got me some stuff that I don't need, left over from past projects. Hopefully, I can generate some needed funds to continue my truck. But, did I find any "deals"? Not really. The truck pix I shot were priced at $5K up. The orange '69 with the 468 was priced at $16,500. It was straight. The $5K truck has paint on it that still has the fresh odor, like it came out of the booth yesterday.

Re: Petit Jean (ARK) Swap Meet - Trucks For Sale
The GMC didn't have any price on it, but a note said he'd be at some spot in the swap meet. It did have stickers on it that told me he's either in the USAF at LRAFB, or he's retired and has privileges. Most of the trucks I shot pix of didn't have prices on them. Makes it kinda weird to sell one w/o a price displayed, in my opinion.

Re: Petit Jean (ARK) Swap Meet - Trucks For Sale
Here's some stuff, lug nuts and a grille and a buddy seat. Grille was priced at $375 and claimed to be GM. The buddy seat was priced at $500. I know where another one is (in blue) for half that amount and in comparable, if not slightly better, condition.

I fully intended going today too but that old thing called "work" had to come first. Happens most every year. Maybe I can make the fall meet.
Don was Doyle Bird there? He has a real slick red 70 he's been putting together.
