Longbed GMC to Chev suspension?

I have a (obviously) longbed 65 GMC. Someone switched the rearend to a car rear, but maintained the leaf springs. I've located a 67-72 Chevy shortbed rear with the coil springs. If I get the trailing arms too, It'll fit, right? The GMC driveshaft hoop crossmember is pre-drilled for the coil-sprung rear trailing arms, but my only cencern is the length difference in short vs longbed. Are there different long/short bed trailing arms?

Re: Longbed GMC to Chev suspension?

The length of the truck arms are the same for both long & short wheel bases.

The long bed frames have extra bed floor brackets that aren't used & an extra 8" that needs to be trimmed off the ends of the rails. The other 12" is removed from in front of the truck arm crossmember between the F/R cab mounts (the rear cab mounts are then relocated).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
