Heat Resistor
What does a heat resistor do? My truck continues to blow heat even though the fan is off and the entry door on the heater box is closed. Does the heat resistor have anything to do with this?

Re: Heat Resistor
I suspect that your problem is caused by the hot water flowing through the heater core and air leakage by the heater door makes the heater put out hot air.
A fix that works pretty well is to put a shut off valve in the 5/8" heater hose so the water flow can be turned off. If you have AC then the vacuum water shut off valve may be a problem. Jim

Re: Heat Resistor
the resistor controls the fan speeds.
