1969 CST/10 Engine mounts?
Tomorrow, I am going to pull out the original worn 350 out of my 69 CST/10 and replace it with another low milage 350 that I have sitting on an engine stand. The original motor still has the safety straps on it to prevent damage if the engine mounts break. I know that there have been improvements in motor mount design over the years, but I do not know which one to put on my truck. This engine will have headers on it so I really don't want to put the straps on it if I don't have to. So, what mount can I put on this engine that is safe? It is a stock 8.5:1 350 with a performer intake and 600 holley carb so it isn't a high hp engine by any means.

the reality is, the stock ones are safe. Yours have already lasted 40 years... inspect them, replace with the same if needed. A stock motor isn't going to stress them too much.
