Where did you get those patch panels?I'm very jelous.lolHave you ever talked to gmcpaul about letting them use those to make dies to start manufacturing them?I keep looking for a set and have found some but they have to be perfect to make the copies from. You would be helping out whole lot of people if you did. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen wtb burb 1/4s,here and on a couple of other boards. Thanks for your time and considering it. Roy

Sorry, I haven't been online for a couple of days. Work can be hell.
I got those quarter panels last October. They were posted on this board by somebody who had spotted the ad on another message board. I paid what feels like a ton of money at the time plus 24 hours of driving(MN to Kentucky and back) and $300 in gas. I haven't approached GMC Paul about this but I am open to it. The only problem I see is they would be difficult to ship. They are real flimsy when not standing upright. Plus shipping there and back to me is just asking for major damage caused by rough handling by some trucking co. ------------------ 1971 C-10 Suburban 1972 C-10 Suburban 1969 XL Galaxie Fastback 1968 Galaxie 500 Fastback 1974 SCOUT II Montrose, Minnesota

Good to hear from you. I think we could tag team them to pauls through the board.I'm in central Il. I think racedevil is up by chicago. I would even come up to Wisconsin. Paul is only a couple of hours from me.If you are really interested get a hold of paul.I don't know all the details on how they make them but I know he has talked to them about it for awhile.I thought I found a couple to cut out of donors but they had rust or dents.I'll call paul if you want and find out more.I know the work thing.I work two jobs and can never seem to find time.Email me if you want. Sorry this is so long. Thanks you very much for the responce. Roy

Hey, I know that fast has been to GMCPaul's before. How far is Janesville WI, from you da-burb? I would possiblly be willing to fetch burb quarters from that far, and then try to get them to Randy (fast). Then see if he would wanna take a trip to see Paul. Or I could maybey even see how far of a ride it is to Paul's from my place.... If help is needed to save 67-72 burbs/panels, I can try my best. E-mail me if interested.

I'm for it!!! Sure we can arrange something. Da-burb you contacted the man about 1/2 hour before me otherwise I would already have them, if you had backed out I was second in line to buy them. Need to talk to our manufacturer though as we were originally going to send only sections and since these are complete quarters I would need to crate them ship overseas then have them shipped back, thank god the methods used to make tooling do not damage the product.

This would be awsome. I'll drive as far as I have to, to save the burbs/panels.At least make it easier to fix them. This is what I've been waiting for for years. Paul how long do you think it would be before they would start making them? When do you want the money for my set? That would help you with shipping. Roy

GMCPaul, you have 2-3 weeks to put together a plan for this. It just happens that I will be going to Pigeon Forge May 4th-5th and Rockville could be a pit-stop. It is something to think about anyway.

da-burb if you do not mind having these out of your possesion for approx. 1 year I will see you when you stop by. I can take care of proper crating of these and the truck freight to get them to manufacturer undamaged no problem. Let me know what you want or need for this to happen and I will make it so.

The holy grail of Suburban parts has been found!!!!!!
Every last person who owns a burb should sponser a da burb holiday in memory of these parts. If GMC paul can get these parts made, it will be the single biggest event of 67-72 burb restoration ever. I am now excited to see these may in the future be made. To everyone who is helping in this endeavor, I offer thanks.

A year? Overseas? Dang..da-burb you are da- man!!!..only question is..we need to make it worth da-burbs while..like he said, he paid a fortune for them and had to drive all the way down there..we need to reimburse him for his trouble unless he is going to get a percentage off of each "new one" made...just my 2 cents.
Problem is, can I wait another year? Isn't there someone here in the states that could remanufacture them? Heck, use them to make molds for fiberglass panels.. Just an idea, Thanks in advance to Paul and da-burb.
